Special Educational Needs and disabilities (SEND)
Special Educational Needs or disabilities fall under the following categories:
- communication and interaction (including Autism and speech, language and communication needs)
- cognition and learning
- social, emotional and mental health
- physical and sensory needs.
Any member of staff or parent/carer can raise a concern about a student’s individual needs that would then be investigated fully by our academy SEND Coordinator. To raise a concern about a student, please contact us by calling 0113 5125530 and ask for our SENDCO – Megan McFarlane.
The Leeds Local Offer provides more information on what young people with SEND and their families can expect from a range of local agencies including education, health and social care. You can find our academy SEND Information Report here.
