Festive Jumper Day
Festive Jumper Day is taking place on Friday 22 December 2023. Students may replace their DUA jumper or blazer with a festive jumper. If they decide to attend wearing a festive jumper then we will ask them to make a £1 donation on arrival - this will go towards the Unity Community and the Student Experience Day due to take place later this academic year. Students must continue wear their shoes, trousers and shirt. Students who do not follow the expectations around Festive Jumper Day may be asked to go home to change due to limited uniform that we have available for students to borrow. It is the first time we have done this and would very much like for it to be a success - thank you in advance for your support!
Y9 Football Success
Congratulations to the Y9 football team who beat Priesthorpe 4-1 last night. Special shout out to Mr Ryan and Ms Rankin for taking them!
Additional Training Day
Due to upcoming changes that will be communicated in the coming weeks we are holding an additional training day on Monday 29 January 2023, students will not attend the academy on this day.
Attendance Initiative
The 10 Days of Christmas attendance initiative continues next week, each day a student attends they will be placed in to the prize draw for the following day. There is one prize draw per year group and the prize is a £10 gift voucher!
End of Term
Student finish for the winter break on Friday 22 December at 12.20pm. Please arrange transport for your child as required. Grab bags will be available for students who access free school meals should they wish to collect one.
Please do get in touch if you have any feedback on this update and I will see you again next week with updates on the start of term and our new attendance initiative.
Many thanks
Mr A Jacobs
Principal
