Principal's update - 28 February 2025

Dear families

I hope you had a great holiday, we've had a superb first week back so a huge well done to all students for making such a positive start.

We've been straight back in to a busy schedule this week with Spanish speaking exams, parents' evenings and a range of careers events as we build towards our careers week in week 12. Huge thanks in particular to those families who attended the parents' evenings, I know that staff and students found the opportunity for feedback and progress conversations very useful.

Next week our Y11s begin their final set of mock exams. I know they have and will continue to be revising very hard and I wish them all the best. In additional to examinations we have fixtures for the Y9 boys football team, Y10 basketball team and Y8 / Y9 girls football team.

On Thursday and Friday next week the school is closed for staff training days therefore your child should not attend. We will return as normal on Monday 10 March.

Next Monday we will be sharing 200 welcome packs to our new Y6 students who will be finding out that they have secured their place at Dixons Unity from September 2025 - we are so excited to welcome them!

Next weeks update will be super busy as I share details of our careers week the week after so do look out for it! Until then, have a great weekend!
