Principal's Update - 21 March 2025

Dear families

I hope you've enjoyed what has been a beautifully sunny end to the week!

This week has been careers week and hundreds of students have been taking part in activities that will support their next steps. A few of my highlights were the Connect visit to the fire station, the Y10 mock interviews and the returning alumni who gave talks on University. As well as careers week we hosted our first community Iftar. It was great to have over 60 friends and families joining us for this event. On Thursday our Y9 girls rugby team attended the regional finals day - I am writing this prior to finding out how they got on so I am hopeful that they come back to school with good news!

Next week we also have a range of fixtures in football, rugby and dance. All consent goes through the Evolve app so please ensure that you log on and give consent for your child to take part. 

Tuesday next week is a really important day for our Y8 students. From 4.15 they will be invited in to listen to information on the upcoming options process, finding out about different subjects and qualifications and have an opportunity to review their progress with their class teachers. We're aiming for 100% attendance so if you haven't already, please book your place via the link sent out. If you need any help please get in contact with our admin team via main reception. 

Next Friday we're hosting an Eid celebration in the Unity Community. As always we're open from 9.45 and it would be great to see you there.
