Principal's Update - 12 July 2024

Dear families

As we approach our final week I wanted to say a huge thank you for all of your commitment and support this academic year. We have made so much progress thanks to the strong partnerships we are building between the academy, the students and you, the families.

This will be my last video update as next week I will be writing a letter to you with all of the information that you need to know for September. I hope that you have enjoyed my video updates this year - let me know if this is a format of communication that you would like to continue.

We have had another busy week at Dixons Unity, with our Silver DofE expedition, recognition event, parent forum and our recognition evening, which is where I am filming this update from. Alongside this we have had our careers week which has included a huge range of employer encounters, activities, workplace visits and VR experiences. Hopefully students have enjoyed this crucial area of work.

Next week, our final week of this academic year, we have our Sports Day on Wednesday where students should attend school in full PE kit, we have our platinum party for students with the top 5% most recognition points and we have visits from colleagues at Dixons Fazakerley and one of our trustees. As I mentioned last week we will be finishing at 12.20pm on Friday so please ensure that you have amended pick up times if required.
