Additional Principal's Update - 6 September 2024

Dear families

Thank you for your support so far this year.

I am writing this additional communication to you today to remind you of our expectations around conduct of families when interacting with staff at the academy. All staff at Dixons Unity have a right to complete their work without fear of abusive behaviour. Unfortunately, a very small minority of parents have engaged in this behaviour this week, hence my feeling the need to write to you.

I understand that there are, at times, issues and frustrations that you will want to address. We are open and transparent and available to you, however the nature of running a school means that this availability is not always immediate. Should you wish you contact the school, or arrange an appointment with a member of the team please get in contact and we will do so in line with our established communications protocol which you can find here. 

Our colleagues at Uniwears have also unfortunately reported some abusive behaviour linked to black jumpers being out of stock. They are hopeful that these missing jumpers will be delivered in two stages over the next two weeks. Please be assured that if you have an order in place this will be delivered to you as soon as their stock arrives however, they do also have stock or grey or navy jumpers. Please bear with them.
