Sarah Clynes

Sarah grew up in Leeds and attended Roundhay High School. Sarah was able to indulge her love for literature at university, graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in English Literature. Sarah joined the Teach First programme in 2009, inspired by their mission of addressing educational disadvantage, and spent her first two years of teaching at a secondary school in Seacroft. During this time Sarah also gained her Masters degree in Education Leadership from the University of Manchester.
Sarah moved to Kings Science Academy, which then became Dixons Kings Academy, in 2011 and remained there until 2018. During this time, she worked as a middle leader leading a highly successful English department to achieve some of the best results in Bradford, and later a senior leader, focusing on QA.
Sarah joined Dixons Unity Academy in 2019 and is incredibly proud to be part of the community. She is dedicated to working with students, staff and parents to ensure that all students are successful and leave ready to thrive at university or a viable alternative.
